Nevada had the largest percentage job increase in year ending August 2019

From August 2018 to August 2019, 26 states added nonfarm payroll jobs while 24 states and the District of Columbia were essentially unchanged. The largest percentage gains occurred in Nevada (+3.0 percent), Utah (+2.8 percent), and Washington (+2.6 percent). The largest job increases occurred in California (+314,200), Texas (+303,500), and Florida (+221,200).
