Computer and electronic product manufacturing import prices down 7.3 percent since December 2012

From December 2012 to December 2016, import prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing decreased 7.3 percent. Prices for these imports originating from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) experienced the largest percentage decline over this period, falling 26.3 percent. Prices for computer and electronic product manufacturing imports originating from China decreased 8.1 percent.

Prices for these imports originating from European Union countries increased 2.0 percent over this 4-year period, including a 4.3-percent price increase for computer and electronic manufacturing imports from the United Kingdom. Despite this price increase, prices for computer and electronic manufacturing imports from industrialized countries (Western Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa) decreased 5.3 percent from December 2012 to December 2016.
