U.S. export prices decreased 0.8 percent from February 2022 to February 2023. This was the first 12-month decrease in U.S. export prices since the decrease of 1.0 percent from November 2019 to November 2020. From February 2022 to February 2023, prices for agricultural exports increased 3.3 percent.

Prices for nonagricultural exports decreased 1.5 percent from February 2022 to February 2023, as a 6.5-percent decrease in export prices for industrial supplies and materials more than offset price increases for other nonagricultural exports. This decrease in nonagricultural export prices was its first 12-month decrease since it decreased 0.1 percent over the year ended December 2020 and 1.6 percent over the year ended November 2020.
