Producer prices increased 8.5 percent from September 2021 to September 2022

The Producer Price Index for final demand increased 8.5 percent from September 2021 to September 2022. Prices for final demand less foods, energy, and trade services increased 5.6 percent.

For the year ending in September 2022, producer prices for goods rose 11.3 percent, while producer prices for services went up 6.8 percent. Producer prices for foods went up 11.9 percent, while producer prices for energy rose 24.2 percent. Producer prices for transportation and warehousing rose 17.8 percent.
