Export air passenger fares rose 14.6 percent for the year ended in October 2022, due in part to a 33.5-percent increase in Latin American/Caribbean and an 11.5-percent increase in Asian fares. Import air passenger fares advanced 13.4 percent over the past 12 months.

Export air freight prices increased 11.7 percent from October 2021 to October 2022. Within the export air freight category, prices of Asian carriers increased 23.0 percent and prices at European carriers fell 1.3 percent. Import air freight prices fell 20.6 percent over the past year. Outbound air freight prices rose 48.4 percent, while inbound air freight prices fell 20.2 percent for the year ended in October.
