Prices for U.S. imports decreased 1.8 percent for the year ending July 2019, while prices for exports decreased 0.9 percent over the same 12 months.

Prices for U.S. imports from all industrialized countries increased 1.3 percent from July 2018 to July 2019.  Export prices increased 1.1 percent over the same 1-year period.  The largest increase in import prices among the selected localities was 3.2 percent for goods from Canada, while the largest increase in export prices was 2.8 percent, for goods exported from Germany.

U.S import prices from Latin America decreased 2.6 percent, while U.S. export prices to this region decreased 2.1 percent.  These were the largest price decreases from July 2018 to July 2019.  Prices for exports to the Pacific Rim were unchanged over the year.
