Consumer price changes for home furnishings and household goods and services

Spring has finally arrived and it's the perfect time for spring cleaning, trying out your green thumb, or starting a home improvement project. Let's take a look at consumer prices for items or services you may buy when updating your home. The price of dishes and flatware fell 10.7 percent over the 12-months ending March 2019 while prices for major appliances increased 8.8 percent during this same period.

Prices for gardening and lawncare services increased 4.4 percent and domestic services 3.5 percent.
