5.2 million private industry job openings on last business day of February 2017

April 13, 2017

On the last business day of February 2017, there were 5.2 million private industry job openings. Almost one-quarter of those job openings were in the education and health services industry, which had 1.3 million job openings. Professional and business services had 1.0 million job openings on the last business day of February, accounting for the next-largest share of private industry job openings.
