Share of part-time workers at lowest since November 2008

In July 2015, 18.3 percent of those employed worked part time. This share is the lowest since November 2008, when part-time workers as a percent of the total employed was 17.8.
Among women workers in July 2015, 24.9 percent worked part time. This share was the lowest since November 2008 (24.8 percent). In July 2015, 12.5 percent of working men worked part time. This share was the lowest since May 2014 (12.4 percent).
