Employment of entertainment and sports occupations is projected to grow 7 percent from 2019 to 2029, faster than the average for all occupations. Employment is projected to increase by about 60,600. Strong demand from the public for more movies and television shows, as well as the increasing popularity of sports, will contribute to job growth for the entertainment and sports occupations.
The median annual wage for entertainment and sports occupations was $47,080 in May 2020, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $41,950.
