Correction of August 2021 collection modes for the Commodities and Services Survey
August 2021 values of collection modes for the CPI Commodities and Services Survey were updated to correct miscalculations of telephone and web. The reported values of 16% for telephone collection and 84% for online collection were incorrect. The correct values were 15% for telephone collection and 85% for online collection. The values have been corrected in the August, September, and October files on the Effects of COVID-19 Pandemic and Response on the Consumer Price Index webpage. This information has been added to the errata page.
