CPI 2018 Geographic Revision
In January 2018, BLS introduced a new geographic area sample for the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The 2018 revision utilized the 2010 Decennial Census and incorporated an updated area sample design, changed the frequency of publication for several local area indexes, and established some new local area and aggregate indexes. The first indexes using the new structure were published on February 14, 2018. Additional information is available in the Geographic Revision Overview.
