Employment Projections Errata Notice

The education and training assignments by detailed occupation table, https://www.bls.gov/emp/tables/education-and-training-by-occupation.htm, originally released on the Employment Projections Web site on December 5, 2011, was reissued on January 13, 2012 to correct errors in category assignments for three detailed occupations.

The typical education needed for entry has changed for the following occupations:

  • 23-2091 Court Reporters was changed from "High school diploma or equivalent" to "postsecondary non-degree award"
  • 53-2011 Airline Pilots, Copilots, and Flight Engineers was changed from "High school diploma or equivalent" to "Bachelor's degree"
  • 53-2012 Commercial Pilots was changed from "High school diploma or equivalent" to "Postsecondary non-degree award"

The typical on-the-job training needed to attain competency has changed for the following occupations:

  • 53-2011 Airline Pilots, Copilots, and Flight Engineers was changed from "Long-term on-the-job training" to "Moderate-term on-the-job training"
  • 53-2012 Commercial Pilots was changed from "Long-term on-the-job training" to "None"
