Corrections to Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Data, June 30, 2020

BLS identified two issues for nonfatal occupational injuries and illnesses involving days away from work in the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses. First, secondary source data were inadvertently omitted from the public BLS database, affecting the Profiles system for 2017 and 2018. No published tables or other products were affected. Second, BLS identified ten private sector industry estimates that were published in error for 2018. The industries, listed below, include four NAICS industry codes at the national level and six at the state level. These affect data in the public BLS database and 13 published tables. Effective June 30, 2020, secondary source data are available in the public BLS database for 2017 and 2018, and affected tables have been corrected and replaced.
