Information specialists are available from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central Time to advise you on the availability of BLS data, publications, and information services. Staff economists also assist customers with technical questions regarding survey terms and definitions, and with the interpretation and application of BLS data. A 24-hour recorded-message service containing the latest all items indexes and percent changes for the U.S., Midwest, West, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Denver areas. The message also provides the issue date for the next monthly release.
The Mountains-Plains CPI Summary "blue card" containing current indexes for the U.S. City Average, the Midwest, the West, and 3 major Midwest metropolitan areas is now available by e-mail. Each month you can receive an e-mail notifying you of the latest CPI on the day it is issued. Visit the BLS News Service Subscription Page to sign-up for this free service. The regional office reference library is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our collection includes BLS Bulletins, the Monthly Labor Review, BLS Reports, recent BLS news releases and summaries, and BLS periodicals. Loan privileges are not offered but most current material may be obtained free of charge from the information staff. Staff are available to assist visitors from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time.
