Correction to Executive Search Consulting Services

With the August 14, 2007, release of Producer Price Index (PPI) data, data prior to December 2006 for Executive search consulting services (pcu54161054161021) have been deleted from the PPI database, and this index has been rebased to December 2006 = 100.

As a result of changes in the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) industry definitions, the NAICS industry that had previously been published for Retained executive recruiting (ndu541619541619) was combined into the Management consulting services industry as Executive search consulting services. In the interest of time series continuity, the PPI attempted to make the two series continuous but this was not possible. Therefore, a continuous time series for Executive search consulting services is no longer possible, and all data prior to December 2006 have been removed. However, time series information for this service line through December 2006 remains available under the discontinued Retained executive recruiting index.
