Recent data on job prospects of college-educated youth

Evidence reveals a slight shift on the part of young, college-educated workers toward technical, sales, and administrative occupations and toward lower paying service-producing industries; whether this represents permanent change in their job prospects remains to be seen. The following descriptive analysis examines the kinds of jobs young, college-educated persons have moved into in recent years and discusses whether those jobs have indeed changed in a qualitative sense.
