People are asking...When will the 2004 Geographic Profile annual average data be available?Employment status of the civilian noninstitutional population in states by sex, race, Hispanic or Latino ethnicity, marital status, and detailed age is currently available for 2004 at www.bls.gov/lau/table14full04.pdf. Preliminary employment status demographic data by state from 2005 through 2007 also can be accessed on the Geographic Profile homepage. The complete 2004 through 2007 Geographic Profile publications will be posted online as soon as they are ready.Where can I obtain this type of demographic and economic data for areas not in Geographic Profile?The best source for detailed data for small areas is the U.S. Census Bureau. Data from Census 2000 and the 1990 Census can be accessed through American FactFinder.
